Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced: Console Performance Profiles and PS5 Pro Graphics Details Revealed
Ubisoft Singapore has officially detailed the console graphics settings and performance targets for the upcoming remake, Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced. Highlighting the differences between standard current-gen machines and mid-generation upgrades, the developer shared how the Anvil engine utilizes modern hardware features.
The title is scheduled to arrive on multiple platforms on the announced release date of July 9, 2026.
PlayStation 5 Pro Enhancements with PSSR 2.0
Players running the game on a PS5 Pro will receive specific visual upgrades. According to Ubisoft’s latest graphics breakdown, the PS5 Pro version supports PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution (PSSR) 2.0 at launch to upscale images efficiently.
Additionally, two core ray-tracing features are permanently active:
- Ray-Traced Specular Reflections: Simulates realistic reflections on wet ship decks and ocean waves.
- Ray-Traced Global Illumination: Enhances realistic bounce lighting across the Caribbean islands and settlements.
These options remain enabled regardless of the selected graphics mode. The remake supports 30 FPS, 40 FPS, and 60 FPS modes on the console.
Xbox Series X|S Graphics Profiles
Performance and resolution profiles have also been confirmed for the Xbox Series X and Series S.
The Xbox Series X version offers three distinct graphics targets:
- Fidelity Mode: Targets 30 FPS with extended visual quality settings and upscaled 2160p (4K) resolution.
- Balanced Mode: Targets 40 FPS, maintaining upscaled 2160p (4K) with adjusted settings.
- Performance Mode: Targets 60 FPS at upscaled 2160p (4K), lowering some visual parameters to prioritize smooth frame rates.
For players planning their storage configurations, the game’s file footprint has been finalized alongside PC system requirements. Detailed preloads are already underway to ensure players are ready for the launch.
